NDLEA Arrests South African Woman With 5.75kg of Heroin at Abuja Airport

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a South African woman at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, after she was allegedly caught attempting to smuggle 5.75 kilograms of heroin into Nigeria.

The suspect was intercepted during a routine screening at the airport as part of the agency's ongoing crackdown on international drug trafficking.

The seized heroin has been taken into custody, while the suspect is undergoing further investigation.

The latest arrest is one of several recent drug interceptions by the NDLEA as the agency intensifies efforts to dismantle international narcotics networks operating through Nigeria's airports.
